One important thing to note about Flora is that she doesn’t dislike Maleficent for the sake of disliking her, and do it can be assumed that the same is true for Fauna and Merryweather. They all knew Maleficent before she turned evil, when Maleficent was ruler over the Moors where they were all happy until the evil fairy’s wings were cut off. (See Maleficent’s form for more in-depth information on that). She is also strong-willed and a leader type, generally being the one giving orders to Fauna and Merryweather. She’s also not afraid to back down or bow out of a fight when it counts, having been the creator and owner of the powerful Sword of Truth and the invulnerable Shield of Virtue, having the ability to conjure both when necessary. Headmistress Flora
is the headmistress of Disney University, the “sister school” to Auradon Prep, in a sense. With the help of her sisters Fauna and Merryweather, she runs the school nearly flawlessly. There is, of course, the odd rebel student. She also served as one of Princess Aurora’s fairy godmothers and whisked the young princess away to a cottage in the woods for her own protection, after Aurora was cursed by Maleficent to die by pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel. At Aurora’s christening, she gifted the princess with beauty.
